The User Guide should be the guide book for your journey through the formative assessment process with your learner. It has information on the development and design, and also the rationale behind writeforward. It explains the terms used in writeforward, lists the key components and gives clear directions on how to use writeforward effectively. The User Guide also explains the informal intake process, how to place a learner using the Competency and Skills Progression Chart, how to prepare and administer the exercises and mark them using the rubric, and how to guide a formative conversation with the learner.
